If you find yourself in Langkawi, a visit to Laksa Ikan Sekoq Langkawi is an absolute must. Tucked away on Jalan Kuala Muda, just a stone's throw from the picturesque seaside, this charming restaurant is a culinary gem that serves up authentic Malaysian cuisine with a focus on local flavors and fresh ingredients.

The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual dining experience. As you sit outdoors, savoring your meal, you’ll be treated to a refreshing sea breeze and scenic views that enhance the overall experience. However, don’t forget to bring along some patience; like many popular spots in Langkawi, expect a little queue as patrons eagerly await their food—which is always worth the wait!

Specializing in traditional dishes that highlight the rich culinary heritage of Malaysia, Laksa Ikan Sekoq's namesake dish, the Laksa Ikan, is a standout. It’s a delightful variation, featuring a full small-sized fish in a delicious broth that boasts a mild tanginess, making every spoonful an exploration of delicate flavors. Many customers have described it as less savory than other versions like the asam laksa, but just as satisfying. Also, don’t miss the Rojak Pasembur, a local salad that features a colorful array of vegetables and fruits, topped with a mouthwatering peanut sauce—it's an experience that shouldn’t be skipped!

For those with a taste for noodles, the Char Kway Teow receives rave reviews; diners appreciate its rich flavor and tender texture, especially paired with beef. The restaurant also has a variety of other dishes like fried noodles and rice, which are equally tempting and come at moderate prices that won’t break the bank.

Several customers have praised the friendly service, which adds a personal touch to your dining experience. Whether you're a local or a traveler, the welcoming atmosphere at Laksa Ikan Sekoq will make you feel right at home. Just a tip: the stall closes early, usually before 6 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. After a memorable meal, you might want to take a leisurely stroll by the seaside or even try some horse riding available nearby for a complete Langkawi adventure.

Whether you're looking for a quick bite before catching your flight or in search of a hidden culinary treasure, Laksa Ikan Sekoq Langkawi is the perfect stop to indulge in authentic local cuisine that captures the essence of this beautiful island.

Easier for me to take grab & travel to airport in abt 4-5 mins. Most of the stall here are close for 3 days when we reached here. Pretty calm location as its by the seaside(except the flies that we need to shoo them away). Food & service was pretty good. I request for rojak buah but unfortunately some of the ingredients isn’t available. Char kwey teow beef was nice. I highly recommended the coconut milkshake as the size was worth the price & good for hot weather too.

visited on 29th Dec 2024. nearby airport. from malibest hotel to here took about 12 minutes. the taste was acceptable compared to other stall, price is moderately reasonable. while having your food with the scenery and windy of the sea. would recommend the ala carte menu such as fried kueytiaw/noodles/rice the taste is much better. horse riding are available here with fees.

Delicious local food and friendly services. Recommended for those who are looking for something authentic to eat in Langkawi. The prices are reasonable and there are plenty of parking at the roadside. Rojak Pasembur is a must try.

Well known place in Langkawi. A must try if you are in Langkawi. Location is quite near to the airport. Can drop by before going to the airport or once you have landed in Langkawi. Do take note, the stall close quite early like before 6 pm. You have to queue for the food, place an order and collect the food then proceed to the cashier with the food and make the payment. For fried dishes like mee goreng, you may place order and make payment and have to wait for the stall owner to shout your order can be collected. Else you have to keep on checking on them for your order. It would be better if they could invest in having a device that will notify customer once the food is ready. Overall a nice place to chill and enjoy your food at the beach.

Highly recommend to anyone who wishes to try local Langkawi laksa. It's less savoury taste compared to the asam laksa, but has mild tangy taste that mixes well with the fish. Every bowl comes with a full small sized fish instead of strips of fish meat. Worth the time..savour it.
